God of second chance saw Ruth’s faith, faithfulness, integrity and love and gave her another, better opportunity to be happy and fulfilled in the same place where there was no hope, no future and no promise. Their mother in-law gave them the fact that their husbands have died and even if she (Naomi) will bear new babies, will they wait for the children to grow up and marry them? That will be impossible! Yes, that was the fact. But God is always moved by his plans and promises and not the facts. The word of God is the final authority! Yes, we have seen him overrule nature, orders, opinions, medical reports, human calculations and projections. And as you read this message today, every report, plan and opinion that will not favour you will be overruled in Jesus’ name!  I love Ruth’s response to her. Just listen to these immortal words that can only come out of an extraordinary spirit-led person, “Do not urge me to leave you or to turn from following you. For wherever you go, I will go, and wherever you live, I will live; your people will be my people, and your God will be my God. Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the LORD punish me, and ever so severely, if anything but death separates you and me.” Ruth 1:16-17. Wow! This is one of the greatest commitments ever made by any human. And once you involve God in it, the supernatural takes over immediately.

And as God looked down, he could not be quiet on that kind of faith and faithfulness; he immediately began to arrange a better opportunity, a second chance for Ruth. Boaz, a very rich, godly relation married Ruth and she also became a progenitor of the great king David and the Messiah. Praise God of second chance!  Don’t lose hope, hang onto God’s promises and work hard. Like Ruth a better, bigger opportunity is coming for! Ruth put behind all that happened and went to work! Go to work. Or should we talk about the woman that was almost stoned to death but was miraculously saved by Jesus. Yes, she deserved to die according to the law then, but God overruled and gave her another chance to live. That death sentence or report on you is cancelled today! Sarah was given another chance to experience the joy of motherhood at a very old age, when her reproductive system and circle were already gone. Yes, the bible said that her reproductive organs, hormones (body) were already, expired, dead! But God of a second chance overruled and gave her a baby at old age. Is your condition as old and impossible like Sarah’s?? Something new will happen. God is coming to make you laugh like Sarah.   Look at King Hezekiah. God himself asked him to write his last will and prepare to die, but the man refused, prayed and forced God to give him another chance to live. Fifteen more years and a son were added to him. Second chance will always be more glorious that the former, lost opportunities. Have you noticed that? We can go on and on, but let us end here with the case of Lazarus. He fell sick, died, buried and the corpse was decomposing after days in the grave. His case was final, settled, impossible, irreversible and irredeemable. But God intervened and gave him another chance! Thank you Jesus! Does your situation look sick, very sick, dead or buried? God will resurrect you today as he gives you another opportunity. Receive another chance in Jesus’ name! Now, you also have an opportunity to give your life to Christ. Do it immediately. Yes. Now! God bless you! Please, share this message. Till next week.
