Norwegian football star Erling Haaland has been confirmed as part of the voice cast for the upcoming animated movie Viqueens, where he will portray a Viking warrior.

The announcement came at the Cannes Film Festival, with producers revealing the project is directed by Harald Zwart, the filmmaker behind The Karate Kid.

Haaland, who plays for Manchester City, has often been compared to a Viking-like force in football due to his dominant style and rapid scoring record, including reaching 100 Premier League goals faster than any other player.

The film is scheduled for release on Christmas Day and is set in a mythical world described as featuring “fearless warrior girls, icy fjords, and Silk Road mythology,” according to its producers.
