Aliko Dangote, President and Chief Executive of Dangote Industries Limited (DIL), has praised the Federal Government for its economic reforms, saying the measures are beginning to improve investor confidence and create conditions for stronger and more sustainable economic growth.

According to Dangote, the fiscal, monetary and regulatory changes being implemented by the government have helped improve macroeconomic stability, boost economic activity and raise productivity in important sectors.

He said the emerging results from the reforms demonstrated the importance of maintaining consistent, market-oriented policies to sustain the recovery and encourage new investments into the country.

“The economic reforms being implemented by the Federal Government are beginning to yield tangible results. We are witnessing improved economic activity, stronger investor confidence, increased industrial productivity, and a more resilient business environment.

“These measures are laying a solid foundation for sustainable economic growth and long-term prosperity for Nigeria,” he stated.

Dangote noted that the reforms were making the business environment more attractive, particularly for large-scale manufacturers and industrial companies whose activities contribute to diversification, employment, foreign exchange earnings and Nigeria’s competitiveness.

He added that government initiatives focused on improving efficiency, increasing transparency, encouraging investment and supporting local production were providing the framework needed for further industrial growth.

“We commend the Federal Government for its courage and determination in implementing reforms that are essential for economic transformation. While every reform process comes with initial challenges, the benefits are increasingly evident in stronger economic indicators, improved business confidence, and renewed investor interest in Nigeria,” Dangote said.

The businessman also highlighted the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals complex as an example of how a supportive policy environment could drive industrial development.

He said policies promoting domestic refining, reducing import dependence, improving energy security and increasing local value addition had contributed to the refinery’s growth and the country’s broader industrialisation drive.

“The progress being recorded at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals complex is closely linked to a policy environment that encourages investment, supports domestic industrialisation, and promotes self-sufficiency.

“These reforms are helping Nigerian businesses to plan with greater certainty, invest with confidence, and compete effectively on the global stage,” he added.

Dangote said the refinery’s expanding production capacity and export operations were generating benefits for the Nigerian economy through foreign exchange earnings, job creation, stronger domestic supply chains and increased industrial activity.

He said the development was also helping Nigeria emerge as an important energy and manufacturing hub in Africa.

Dangote Industries Limited, he added, would continue to support the government’s economic agenda through investments in strategic sectors, innovation, industrial development and the creation of sustainable employment.

“Our vision has always been to support Nigeria’s economic development through transformative investments.

“Today, we are witnessing how the combination of private-sector commitment and decisive government policies can unlock unprecedented opportunities for national growth.

“The refinery, petrochemical operations, fertiliser production, and our other industrial investments are helping to build a more self-reliant, competitive, and prosperous economy,” he said.

Dangote expressed confidence that sustained reforms, consistent policies and stronger public-private sector collaboration would help accelerate Nigeria’s growth, attract more foreign direct investment and enhance the country’s standing as a leading investment destination in Africa.
