Jigawa Govt Rejects Claims Namadi Gave Houses to Rarara, Triple R Members
Jigawa government aide Dady Ringim dismisses claims that Governor Umar Namadi gifted houses to Rarara and members of the Triple R group.
The Jigawa State Government has rejected claims that Governor Umar Namadi allocated houses at the Danmodi Housing Estate in Ringim to APC musician Dauda Kahutu Rarara and members of the Triple R group.
Dady Ringim, the governor’s new media aide, dismissed the allegation as false and unsupported by facts amid growing reactions on social media.
The controversy erupted after a video went viral in which Rarara and members of Triple R allegedly claimed that Namadi had allocated houses to them. The development drew criticism from opposition figures and other social media users across the state.
One of the critics was Zakari Kafin Hausa, a former aide to the governor who has since become a vocal critic of the administration. He is also the ADC candidate for Auyo/Kafin Hausa Federal Constituency in the 2027 election.
In a Facebook post, Kafin Hausa questioned the reported allocation, raising concerns about the distribution of houses in a project allegedly financed with public funds.
“There are certain decisions taken by this administration that I am wondering whether it is the Umar Namadi we have always known making them or he has been replaced with ‘Jibrin from Sudan,’” he stated.
Kafin Hausa also challenged the reported practice of allocating houses from a publicly funded project in this way.
Responding to the criticism, Ringim said the former aide was overlooking the governor’s achievements. He maintained that the administration’s projects and policies were boosting Namadi’s popularity and chances of securing another term.
Ringim explained that Triple R’s remarks should not be interpreted as confirmation that the governor had given the group houses. Rather, he said, the statement was meant to publicise the government’s affordable housing initiative.
“The Triple R statement does not mean the Governor has gift them Houses, they are trying to establish the fact that the Governor has constructed the affordable Housing Estate for the People of the state.
“The Danmodi Housing Estate was constructed across the whole 27 Local Government of the state and are available for the citizens whoever meet the requirements,” Ringim said.
He further argued that the group was highlighting the governor’s record across several sectors, including housing, Tsangaya education, roads, healthcare and agriculture.
“What they are doing are doing it to advertise the good work of Governor Umar Namadi, not only Housing Estate including Tsangaya, Roads, Health, Agriculture among other.”
According to Ringim, the administration’s work was leaving a lasting impression on the people. He added that “politics is not built on rhetoric alone; it requires action and the trust of the people.”
The governor’s aide expressed confidence that voters would decide the state’s political future, maintaining that the administration’s performance was helping establish a lasting legacy, especially among young people.
He also called on political actors to verify claims before making public statements, cautioning that political disagreements should not contribute to the spread of misinformation.
The dispute has fuelled online debate about the alleged allocation of houses and how publicly funded housing schemes are managed in Jigawa State.
