Nigerian Pastor Reveals How Ritual Wealth Allegedly Led to Leg Amputation
A Nigerian pastor reveals how a ritualist allegedly warned him against buying a car or house after helping him acquire wealth.
An Ogbomoso-based pastor, Joel Olasunkanmi, has opened up about his alleged involvement in ritual practices to acquire wealth, claiming that the experience eventually preceded a car accident that resulted in the amputation of his leg.
The cleric made the revelation during an interview with BBC Yoruba, where he reflected on how his pursuit of material wealth and worldly pleasures led him to consult a ritualist.
According to Olasunkanmi, he remained involved in the practice for about five years and was instructed to carry out a ritual involving a young woman he deeply loved.
“Thirty years ago, I took some steps that made God angry. It was while I was searching for vain and worldly things that I became disabled. I had a car accident on May 26, 2001,” he disclosed.
Explaining what the ritualist allegedly demanded, the pastor said he was instructed to find a woman he loved, engage in sexual intercourse with her and use a white handkerchief to wipe her private parts before taking it to the ritualist.
“The ritualist I sought told me to look for a young lady that I so much loved. I searched for her, had sex with her and used a white handkerchief to wipe her genitals. I took it to the man,” he said.
Olasunkanmi claimed that he subsequently became wealthy but said he never understood how the arrangement brought him money.
He also revealed that the ritualist warned him against using the money to acquire certain personal assets, particularly a car or a house.
“I did become rich. I did not know how it happened. But I did become rich. But I was told I could not buy a car or house from it,” he stated.
The pastor further recounted how the vehicle that eventually hit him was connected to him, alleging that he had supplied the money used by another individual to purchase the car.
“At the end of the day, the car that hit me was indirectly mine because I was the one who bought it for him. At the end of the day, my leg was amputated,” he added.
Drawing lessons from his experience, Olasunkanmi urged young people to avoid desperation for wealth and exercise patience rather than resorting to questionable practices in pursuit of financial success.
“I implore the youths of today to be patient in everything they do,” he advised.
