President Bola Tinubu has identified economic recovery, education, healthcare and the welfare of Nigerians as key areas his administration would prioritise if he secures another term in office in 2027.

He gave the assurance on Saturday at the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign rally held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The rally was jointly organised by the Rainbow Coalition, led by Chief Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.

Tinubu also assured Nigerians that youth development would receive the attention it deserves under his administration.

He called on Rivers residents to use their Permanent Voter Cards wisely in the interest of building a better and more progressive Nigeria.

The president also promised continued efforts to improve the welfare of retirees, particularly through better and timely payment of pensions and gratuities.

He applauded Wike and the people of Rivers State for their strong show of support for his second-term ambition.

Tinubu further praised Wike for his role in promoting reconciliation and restoring peace during the political crisis in the state.

He also described Governor Siminalayi Fubara as a peaceful leader committed to the progress of Rivers State.

“The governor will never regret his commitment to restoring peace in the state,” he said.

“I sincerely appreciate Wike, Fubara, APC members and the Rainbow Coalition Campaign Council for their support,” Tinubu added.

In his remarks, Wike assured the president that Rivers residents would overwhelmingly support his re-election in 2027.

According to him, Tinubu had demonstrated his commitment to Rivers State by appointing no fewer than 47 people from the state to strategic national positions.

“We cannot take the president’s support for granted. Rivers people will vote massively for the president in the 2027 presidential election,” he said.

Fubara, who also addressed the gathering, promised that Rivers State would produce at least three million votes for Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

“We shall continue to work together to ensure that the president wins the election; that is our promise,” he said.

The governor expressed appreciation to the campaign team for creating a platform for Rivers people to showcase their political strength and demonstrate their backing for Tinubu.

He also thanked the president for supporting the development of the Niger Delta through major infrastructure projects, with particular reference to the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Tinubu inaugurated the Bonny-Bodo Road project during his visit to Rivers State.

The president also presented the APC governorship flag to the party’s candidate in the state, Mr Kingsley Chinda.
