Enugu Air, the Enugu State-owned airline, has secured regulatory approval to operate flights on the Lagos–London Gatwick route through a strategic partnership with Omni-Blu Aviation, which has been appointed as the designated operator.

The development marks an important milestone in the airline’s international expansion strategy and is expected to enhance air travel connections between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.

According to the airline, the proposed route will also open up fresh opportunities for passenger travel and trade while supporting broader economic activities.

The initiative is in line with the aviation development agenda of Enugu State Governor, Dr Peter Mbah, who is seeking to position the state as a growing hub for international connectivity, investment, tourism and economic development.
