Ronald Koeman Mourns Death of Wife Bartina

Ronald Koeman is mourning the death of his wife, Bartina, as Barcelona and the Netherlands national team send condolences to the family.

Ronald Koeman, the former Barcelona and Netherlands manager, is mourning the death of his wife, Bartina Koeman.

The 63-year-old football figure announced the news in a heartfelt message, paying tribute to Bartina as his “beautiful wife” and the family’s “dearest mother and grandmother.”

“With intense sadness, but also with great pride and love, we say goodbye to my beautiful wife, our dearest mother and grandmother,” Koeman said.

Following the announcement, Barcelona sent a message of condolence to Koeman and his family.

“FC Barcelona and its supporters send their deepest condolences and affection to Ronald Koeman and his family for the passing of his wife, Bartina Koeman. May she rest in peace,” the club said.

The Netherlands national team also joined the tributes, expressing its support for Koeman and his family during the difficult period.

“We wish Ronald, their (grand)children, family, and other loved ones a great deal of strength and support in the face of this great loss,” the message added.

Koeman is a prominent figure in Dutch football, having enjoyed a distinguished career as a player before becoming a manager.

He took charge of Barcelona between 2020 and 2021 and has managed the Netherlands, Everton, Southampton, Ajax and other clubs during his coaching career.

Bartina and Koeman were married for decades and had three children together.

The family has requested privacy as they grieve her passing.
