“Fresh Plateau Attack: Gunmen Kill Five in Barkin Ladi”

At least five victims confirmed dead after gunmen opened fire in Fan District, Barkin Ladi, as residents call for stronger security measures.

At least five people have been killed following a fresh attack by gunmen in Fan District of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The Sunday night incident has sparked fear among residents, who say the security situation remains troubling.

Speaking on the development, a community member, Bot James, said the victims were heading home around 9 p.m. when they were ambushed.

He said the gunmen opened fire suddenly on the group.

“Four persons were killed on the spot, while another victim later died in the hospital,” he stated.

Rwang Tengwong, Publicity Secretary of Berom Youth Moulders, confirmed the attack and condemned the killings.

He called on security agencies to step up measures to protect communities and prevent a recurrence of such incidents.
